Service Boot 310 - Black Chromexcel

Service Boot 310 - Black Chromexcel

The modern Service Boot isĀ a culmination of 90+ years of experience forĀ Viberg. Since founding in 1931, the company has refined and produced the Service Boot for discerning adventurers, workers and sartorialists alike. The classic lines areĀ rivalled only by the durability and hard-working roots from which this boot has been forged. Without the Service Boot there would be no Viberg and without Viberg there would be no Service Boot.

Horween'sĀ ChromexcelĀ leather has been produced by the American tannery for over 100 years. In that time, this leather has earnedĀ a reputation akin to other 'marks of quality' like GORE-TEXĀ® orĀ VibramĀ® – bringing legitimacy to anyĀ products which use it.Ā ChromexcelĀ is the original 'pull up' leather – building character with age. This is achievedĀ through bark tannage from a proprietary recipe,Ā which isĀ then hot stuffed withĀ a secret blend of natural oils and greases. The result is aĀ durable leather which only gets better the more wear you put into it.

The 310 Last was originally crafted in 2007, unifying a classic British climbing boot with a mid-century workboot. Its "sprung toe," which lends the 310 its distinctive shape, had its genesis in the early 1900s to provide a rocking motion for enhanced comfort when traversing in rigid-soled industrial boots.

Viberg boots are made for a lifetime of wear, so a sole which can be repaired, removed and replaced is paramount to ensure that daily wear doesn't cut that experience short. A leather Viberg "Chassis" is secured to the uppers with stitchdown construction and wears a sturdy DainiteĀ outsole – which of course can be replaced with wear.
